Sonos is an American developer and manufacturer of audio products best known for its multi-room setups. The ecommerce team was looking to increase on-site revenue performance - and potentially replace an existing personalization solution that wasn't delivering the results they expected.
Sonos' Director of ecommerce and ecommerce Product Manager teamed up with Zoovu to go beyond conventional segmentation and curate each visitor's shopping experience on an individual level, in real-time.
Rather than grouping site visitors into segments and serving the same recommendations to all - as conventional personalization does - the Sonos ecommerce team used Zoovu's predictive engine to anticipate consumer behavior and tailor the ideal path to purchase, 1:1, in real-time.
Sonos then ran an A/B test between the incumbent solution and Zoovu to clearly identify the difference in results - no assumptions, only measured impact.
A Proof of Concept (POC) ran as a direct bake-off against the incumbent solution. 50% of traffic (Control) experienced the Sonos site with the existing personalization elements, while 50% (Test) saw the site powered by Zoovu.
Smart Elements live during the POC sat on the Product Detail Page (PDP) and Shopping Cart Page - identical placements across both solutions.
Composable AI recommendations that deploy fast, blend with native site aesthetics, and learn from every interaction to deliver 1:1 predictions in real-time.
Segment-based personalization leaves revenue on the table. Sonos proved that predicting intent at the individual visitor level - and surfacing the right product at the right moment - moves every KPI that matters.
